Get to Know

Q&A

How did you get into cycling, and how did you get into gravel specifically? Was there a moment where you knew this was your thing?

I got into racing around 2021, and tried my first gravel race shortly after. For a while gravel was not my thing — I was very small, didn't train enough, and found it to be less fun than mountain biking.

I don't think there's a standout moment where it became my thing, but over time my results got better and better with each race.

What's the hardest thing about being a competitive athlete at the level you're at?

Keeping life balanced. It's easy to focus too much on biking, and when that happens other things in life begin to not work as they should. So for me, it's keeping a balanced life.

Why Lunch Box? What does being part of this team mean to you specifically?

I knew Chase and Drew from a race I met them at, and the connection was immediately a good one. I continued to talk with them when I would see them at races, then saw the application online — so I applied, reached out to Chase, and that was that.

What's a goal you have — on the bike or off — that most people don't know about?

I want to make biking something I'm involved in for the rest of my life — whether it be racing, riding, working at a shop, running a team, or anything to do with it. And I want to keep it fun. Something I love to do.

What do you do to decompress when you're not on the bike?

I play video games, watch movies, hike, hang out with friends — all sorts of stuff like that.

What's something about you that would surprise people who only know you as a cyclist?

I used to be a football player. In 7th grade.

Lunch Box karaoke night — what are you singing?

American Pie — because I know most of the words. But please don't hold me to that.
